iOS 15's Unknown Features That Improve Your iPhone

Meet some of the small iOS 15 changes that will change how you use your iPhone. Of course, iOS 15 has many new features, and we’ve got a never-ending list of the best iOS 15 features to back it up. When iOS 15 came out, it was clear that some parts might have slipped your mind. Software updates often hide the most important features in the iPhone’s most advanced software updates, like iOS 15, which you can download right now. As with any software update, not all new features make it into the announcement page or the changelog.

These undiscovered qualities will quickly become favorites

Spotlight searches can be done from the lock screen

In iOS 15, you don’t have to unlock your phone as often. Swipe down while you’re on the lock screen, and the Spotlight search bar comes up, followed by the usual list of apps. From there, you can search your iPhone for anything. And if you don’t use Face ID to unlock your phone or your iPhone is in someone else’s hands, Spotlight look from the lock screen is limited to the web so that your messages, apps, and photos stay just for you.

Observe Additional Information About Each Image in The Photos App

Even though you utilize Spotlight a lot, you may see it start to grow, and sometimes text is typed when you take an iPhone out of your pocket. This is why you usually turn off the lock screen feature. You can go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode to do the same thing. Then scroll down unless you find the “Today View and Search option.” This is the next step. Next, slide the switch off and then return to the Home Screen.

Translate any text from anywhere

When you use your iPad or iPhone, Apple’s translation tool is now part of the software that runs on them. When you highlight some text, and then the copy/paste menu comes up, you’ll now see a translation option as an option. Make sure you choose the language you want when you click Translate. In the next step, you can copy and paste or manage the translated text in any way you need.

Siri is Capable of Sharing Information

Every time Apple frees a recent version of iOS, it gives Siri new abilities. This time, Siri looks like Apple has developed a great new feature, at least on paper. You can now ask Siri to share something on your iPhone screen that it can’t. Instead, the assistant will try to get a screenshot and post that instead, so you can still do that.

Recovery of Apple ID

In iOS 15, you can designate trusted friends and family as your Account Recovery Contact. This helps you if you lose your Apple ID. If you lose access to your Apple ID, you can tap one of those contacts to speed up the process even more. Apple is also letting you set up Legacy Contacts for the Apple ID.

Receive Push Notifications When the Weather Alters

Apple bought the Dark Sky weather app and its team a while ago. When you free the Weather app on your iPhone, tap the three-line icon in the bottom-right corner, then the menu switch in the top-right corner. Once that’s done, go to Notifications and slide the button next to My Place to the On position.

Move Safari’s Address Bar back to where it was with ease

First, you’ll probably notice that the address bar is now at the bottom of your screen. It’s a design change that’s supposed to make Safari easier and more accessible, especially on bigger iPhone screens. When looking at a web page in Safari, tap on the Aa icon on the left-hand side of the address bar. This will make the address bar bigger. Show Top Address Bar is at the top of the menu. If you tap it, the address bar will move to the top of your screen.

Turn On App Activity Recording To Ensure Your Privacy Is Protected

You can see how often an app asks for your location or microphone by looking at how numerous times it has done this in the last week. This is a new privacy feature in iOS 15. When you keep the report, you can search through it to see if an app is accessing a part of your device or contacting websites that you didn’t know about.

Improvements inaccessibility

iOS 15 has a lot of accessibility features, but my favorite so far is the ability to change the size of text, and the size of the display for each app. Do what it speaks on the label: You can make the text bigger in one app while leaving it the same in other apps. Another feature that will help people who can’t see well is the ability to move your finger over a picture to see where a person is about other things in the picture.

Wallet’s history

The wallet will now move expired boarding passes and event tickets to a separate list so they don’t get mixed up. The cards, tickets, and important passes are now in the front and center, and the rest of the clutter has gone away from you.

Improves the camera

Apple says it will fix geometric distortion and get better at capturing moving subjects in iOS 15, at least if you have one of the four iPhone 12 models. This means that your panorama shots in iOS 15 should look better. There should also be less image noise and banding in your panoramas and more. Eventually, when you’re taking a QuickTake video in iOS 15, you’ll be able to swipe up or down to change the zoom. It’s another feature that only works on an iPhone with an A12 Bionic chip or better.

Translate the Face-to-Face View

iOS 15 adds a “face-to-face” mode. English statements and translations from 10 other languages appear on the screen before you. The other half of the screen, flick that around and show the other person what you’re saying in English.

Locate My locate gadgets even if they are switched off

iOS 15 makes Find My even more powerful by including devices that have been turned off in their searches. Depending on what Apple says, you’ll be able to find and track down your devices even if they’ve run out of battery or have been locked down by someone else. As a result, Find I will be able to find devices even after they’ve been deleted, which is another way to stop people from reselling stolen Apple devices.

Mute FaceTime Notifications

People who use Apple’s video chat app will now get a “mute” alert when they try to talk, but nobody can hear them. In addition, you’ll be able to tap that alert to unmute it quickly.

Setup Using Temporary iCloud Storage

When you set up a new iPhone, this is a good thing to know. But if your iCloud storage is running low, you’ll be glad to know this. The iCloud backup feature will let you move data from one iPhone or iPad to another. You can set aside as much temporary storage space as possible to make a quick backup. This feature will be available in iOS 15.
